I Spent 5 Years Crying Over a Situation That Took 6 Months to Fix. Manifest your dream life: Let’s bring Lucky Girl Syndrome back.

Manifestation isn't some mystical, magic-wand-flicking thing, it’s actually a brain thing. This week, we're talking about bringing "lucky girl syndrome" back, hacking the "For You Page" of your mind, and why that deep discomfort you're feeling is actually a divine nudge to finally step out.

Today we are talking about is luck. About bringing "lucky girl syndrome" back. About manifestation, mindsets, delusion, and believing in yourself in a way that feels almost impossible. I love it when a goal feels out of reach for you, because that is what truly changes your life. I'd like to encourage you to stop overthinking those limitations and just start doing. Because what if delulu is the actual solulu?

I was recently discussing life with a group of friends. And I realised each time I met with this group, and we discuss our goals, it felt like life ended at what was directly in front of them, being a mom, or the traditional job, or whatever normal things they had going on, not that there is anything wrong with those things. Not in the slightest. But naturally, everyone has a complaint or an area of their life that is not 100% that they want to improve. And so we'd talk about out goals and aspirations in life. But each time I contributed to the discussion, I always seemed so out of place, like my dreams, goals and aspirations were so weirdly far-fetched. Once I made the realisation, at first I was discouraged, should I be rushing toward that normal mainstream life the entire group was used to? Is something wrong with me? Why are my goals notes realistic and similar to the maimstream goals as my friends around me? Until one day we were having a similar discussion again, I was so observant and silently taking in the conversation when it clicked that it was not me, but that most people actually don't dare to dream big. Beyond what is realistically achievable for them.

And this is not to say that everyone should dream big and self improve at all times. Sometimes you just love the routine of your life and don't want to change anything in that season of living. But this observation was to the people who actually wanted to see change, a group of friends discussing their goals, but their beliefs were restricted to what was realistic. And this realisation is what felt really strange to me. Sometimes groupthink can be a shock. You know, when you have an opinion of how life should be, but then when someone opens their mouth, their view is a compleeetely different one that was never even on your radar. When something is so obvious to you but completely different for the necxt person, like you know how some people get home after a long day and just plop in their cosy bed, but others wouldnt dare to let outside clothes touch the hem of their blanket and need to shower immediately first. Two completely different views. That was a surface example but I think its beautiful really that everyone has different views, its what gived the world its colourm That being said, if you are feeling stuck and want to see actuall change in your life, maybe its transforming your body, or getting your dream career. Sometimes we need to see beyond the possible. Create that dream life.

So if you find yourself in a situation where you share your dreams, goals, and aspirations, and they seem outlandish and crazy to the people around you, that could be a sign. It is a sign that you have something unique in you that you need to create or pursue. If you limit your beliefs to what those immediate around you say, who who don't see the same possibilities for you, it will hinder and limit your growth.

But if you have a nudge about something you could be, or a discomfort in where you currently are. I'm here to tell you to listen to that. See the world from your rosy colored lend. Let your sparkles, shine and follow the rainbow to your dreams, because if you have the desire, it’s in you for a reason.

Maybe Discomfort is Actually Trying to Move You

I was listening to a podcast recently on YouTube, and they were talking about manifestation and stepping out to actually achieve the things you want. It made me think about something I mentioned in a previous video: I want to go back to who I was as a child. Before I was introduced to the rules of the world, what decisions would I have made? What actions would I have taken if life had no limits? What life would I be living? How different your life would be if you went back to that.

But life has taken its course and here you are, living a life that the world currated for you but you do not feel satisfied. How do you know when it’s time to take action and move? It's when you feel a nudge. You feel an irritation. You feel such a deep discomfort that you just can't take where you are anymore. You need to listen to that discomfort because that is a higher calling pulling you out of a place where you are no longer supposed to be. No matter what is is. Getting to the bag, getting to the money goals. Achieving your dream life, whatever it looks like for you.

Example: Body goals - The Six Months That Changed Everything

For the longest time, I was stuck in a vicious cycle with weight loss. I was constantly losing it, gaining it back, losing it, and gaining it back. Just this morning, I put on some sweatpants and they fit so comfortably. Gworl, six months back, these babies were so tight and would leave the rib marks on my skin after I've worn them. I didn't even think of them as small or tight, they were my comfy go to sweat pants, I just assumed they naturally had that tighter feel around the waist. Now fastforward to six month later and they are, what I call, 'falling off the bone'. Not in a weird way haha, but in a flattering way. It is so crazy to me that I stayed stuck in that frustrated cycle of being unhappy in my body for five years, yet it only took me six months to completely break through. Now I am 75% through the way to my dream body.

Granted, there was a large amount of research, trial and error, and learning happening during those five years of being stuck. But the actual time between when I truly started and right now? Six months. And my body feels like me again. I feel amazing, beautiful, and confident in my skin. I can just get up, go out, and do things without being insecure or overthinking it. It is the most beautiful, freeing thing.

When I realized that, I sat back and thought: Wait a minute. What if this is true for all the other things that are holding us back? What if you are simply six months months away from achieving your dream life or accomplishing a major goal?

What if all it talkes is for you to just start by identifying the dream you want (not what's realistic), find the very first step, and take action?

Sometimes we completely undermine the power of time, but six months can literally change your life. If six months can transform a body on a healthy lifestyle journey, imagine what six months of locked-in focus can do for your dream hair, your business, or whatever project you are trying to build. I spent five years crying. Five years of being insecure, hiding myself, and turning down events. And you mean to tell me I could have had this reality if I had just locked in for six months?

Guys, that is the secret sauce to life. You can shape your reality. Dream of what it is, I don't care how big it is. Once you have identified your delusional goal, ask yourself this: what is the first step I can take to becoming the thing I truly want to become?

Manifestation is Not Woo-Woo. Your Brain is Science-Based

Manifestation is such a fun word, isn’t it? It feels exciting, like believing you have a magic wand in your hands and you can just hop around, flick your wrist, and the world changes, dancing to the tune of your beck and call. And in a way, that's true. The power is in our hands.

So on this podcast I was listening to, they were explaining how manifestation isn't some mystical, woo-woo thing, it’s actually a brain thing. I've been loving that neuroscience content on Instagram lately, because when you boil it down, achieving what you want requires renewing your mind. It’s about refusing to stay stuck in an old way of thinking. Manifesting is just deeply believing in something and taking aligned action until you become it.

If you believe your limit is a low-wage job you hate, your current "manifestation" is just staying in that cycle because you believe that's all that is there for you. But the moment you change what you believe is possible, you open a literal plethora of opportunities. Opportunities are everywhere.

Imagine the life you really want is dancing and dangling right in front of you, teasing you, saying, "This dream life, this career, this peace, this freedom, it could be yours." What happens if you entertain that idea for even a second?

In neuroscience, the moment you accept a new goal or belief as possible, your brain actively starts looking for evidence to back it up. One creator on Instagram called it the "For You Page" (FYP) of your brain.

You know how when you search for something on Instagram or TikTok a couple of times, the algorithm takes note? The next day, you open the app, and without even searching, your feed is flooded with it. If you were looking up how to grow your natural hair, suddenly your FYP is full of gorgeous natural-hair babes giving you tips.

That is exactly how the human brain works. If you decide to take on the persona of someone who believes financial freedom or a dream body is possible for them, your brain will constantly scan your environment for evidence and opportunities to prove you right.

And we actually see it all the time in real life. Here's an example: Let's say you had a little fling with a guy, and it eventually just fizzled out. Months go by, and suddenly he pops into your head. You start to get curious aboutt what he's been doing, what his up to. Maybe you even miss the lil sneaky link a bit (haha jk please don't, we don’t double back girlies). Anyway have you noticed how the more you think about it, the more you start to notice guys who dress like him, look like him. Or lets say you mention him to a friend. Then that very weekend when you go out... boom! You run into him.

Or think about cars. If you’re a girl like me, you don't know car models. Honey I have no idea the difference between a "Toyota Jungle Master x1000" and a "Toyota Sharp Rim double x hatchback" (made those up cause that how gibberish cars get to me haha). But let's say you are in the market for some wheels and you decide you want a specific Range Rover. You buy into the idea that it’s possible for you to get one. Suddenly, you start seeing Range Rovers everywhere, different rims, different colors, passing you on every street.

It’s not that those cars were never there before. It’s just that your brain has finally brought them into your conscious awareness. Your brain is delivering exactly what you have decided to believe in.

Manifestation is science. And because I’m a Christian, it aligns perfectly with what the Bible says about renewing your mind. The moment you take the first step and believe, I’m going to start that business, I’m going to heal my body, I’m going to build that life, the opportunities suddenly become visible.

No One is Coming to Save You Sucks - But That is Also the Good News When You Believe That You Create Your Reality

People always say, "No one is coming to save you." It kinda sucks and it used to discourage me. But now I know it is actually the most liberating truth in the world. No one is coming to save you, which means you literally have the power to save yourself and give yourself the life you want.

Of course, there’s a process and a science to it with actual actionable steps. You can create the vision board, map out what you want your life to look like, but once you identify the dream, the most important thing is taking action. You have to find the immediate first step towards your goals.

For example if you're goal is financial freedom, don't get overwhelmed thinking about how to make a billion dollars if you are currently flat broke with zero currency in your account. Don't worry about the final endpoint. Just think about what you can do from where you are currently standing to become a slightly better version of yourself over the next three months.

What is the first step you need to take right now?

Do you need to do research? Give yourself an hour to look it up.

Do you need information? Watch that TikTok, watch that YouTube video, and take notes.

Do you need a website? Go create the landing page today.

Is it your body goals? Stop ordering takeout three times a week. Cut it down to once a week this week, and then once a month next month.

Just start with one thing. The sooner you move, the sooner you arrive.

Three Things to Leave You With

If you're reading this today, I want to leave you with these core truths:

1. Dream big like the child you used to be. Connect back to the dreams you had before the world stepped in and told you what was "impossible."

2. Pay attention to your discomfort. If you are feeling a deep nudge, a friction, or an irritation with your current circumstances, do not ignore it. That discomfort is a divine signal that you need to step out of your current situation and move toward your vision.

3. Take immediate action. Do the necessary research and take the first step today.

I used to love to plan. My old motto used to be, "Failing to plan is planning to fail." But my new motto right now? Just take one action now...Planning is kind of overrated. Don't get stuck in the execution strategy.Don’t get overwhelmed by the massive end goal. If you've got a bit of a situation to work on down there in the mid-area, don't sit around overthinking what magical skinny tea you need to buy for the next three months to fix it. Just focus on the small, daily shifts you can make right now to be better than you were yesterday. That is exactly how you change your life.

It is entirely possible for you. I am speaking to myself just as much as I am speaking to you, but it is possible.

As always on this glow-up journey, I leave you with a tool to expand your mind as you level up. I create monthly ebooks and audiobooks, pouring into them genuinely to help others with some targeted learning. Because the more you expose yourself to something, the more you become it. And eventually, you wake up one day as your highest, hottest self.
